Landscape renovation refers to changes made to existing features in the landscape. Typically it involves the softscapes of the landscape but can sometimes include the hardscapes.
Renovating the softscapes might refer to making gardens or lawns bigger or smaller. This might include splitting perennials to accommodate the new space, or moving existing plants around in the garden. Sometimes the wrong plant has been planted and is not performing well, or is performing too well and is taking over the garden. Renovations could include removing these poor performers and replacing them with the right plant.
A garden renovation might be as simple as weeding out an overgrown garden and adding compost to amend the soil and mulch to help regulate water and keep weeds at bay.
